| Unicorn Oil Company Pte Ltd was incorporated in 1992 as a private limited company under the name of Pioneer Barrel & Drum Pte Ltd. Its business activities then included the reconditioning (repairing and repainting) of used drums. | |||
| Natchem Asia Pacific Pte Ltd (formerly known as Natoil Asia Pacific Pte Ltd), a company wholly owned by our Executive Directors, Ng Tiong Guan and Ho Ting Choo, commenced its lubricating oil business in December 1992, which primarily involved toll-blending and packaging of lubricating oils for third parties. | |||

| Natchem started production of its own range lubricating oil products under the UNICORN brand. | |||

| In October 1996, our Company changed its name to Unicorn Oil Company Pte Ltd to better represent and enhance its corporate and product image. Under the Unicorn brand, we market a wide range of lubricating oils for automotive, industrial and marine applications. By December 1996, Unicorn brand products were marketed in Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam and PRC. | |||

| In March 1997, Porsche AG granted us its approval for our lubricating oil, Unicorn Ultrasynt (SAE 5W-40) to be used in all Porsche sport cars including all modern and non-contemporary models. | |||
| In April and July 1997, our lubricating oil, Unicorn Ultrasynt (SAE 5W-40), received the respective approvals of DaimlerChrysler AG and Volkswagen AG for use in their vehicles. | |||

| In July 2000, we were awarded the ISO 9001 certification from European Quality Assurance Limited certifying that our Company had established and implemented a quality management system in compliance with ISO 9001 set of standards for our production of lubricating oils. | |||

| In July 2001, we expanded our factory space by approximately 30,000 square feet with a 3-storey warehouse-cum-factory at Tuas. In the same year, we added a new production line to enhance our production capabilities besides acquiring machinery and equipment to produce additives for sale and use in our lubricating oils. | |||
| In November 2001, we received licenses to display the API Certification Marks on a number of our products, including our range of Unicorn Ultrasynt products. | |||

| In February 2002, BMW AG granted us its approval for our lubricating oil, Unicorn Ultrasynt (SAE 5W-40), to be used in BMW engines. | |||
| In July 2002, our Unicorn brand was named one of “Singapore’s 20 Promising Brands” by the Association of Small-Medium Enterprises, Singapore and Lianhe Zaobao. | |||
| In September 2002, we were awarded the ISO 9001 certification from European Quality Assurance Limited certifying that our Company had established and implemented a quality management system in compliance with ISO 9001:2000 set of standards for our production of lubricating oils. At the same time, we received JASO’s approval to display its certification label on our lubricating oil, Unicorn Ultrasynt (SAE 5W-40). | |||
| In November 2002, we were awarded the “Enterprise 50” by Accenture and The Business Times, for being the top 50 most enterprising, privately-held companies in Singapore in 2002. | |||

| In July 2003, Unicorn Oil was voted by DP Information Network Pte Ltd as one of the 50 fastest growing companies in Singapore in 2003 | |||
| For the second consecutive year in November 2003, we were again awarded the “Enterprise 50” by Accenture and The Business Times, for being the top 50 most enterprising, privately-held companies in Singapore for the year 2003. | |||
